I searched for months to find a venue that was efficient and effective for our once in a lifetime party. Spreadsheets were involved Windows on Washington has been a staple in STL for quite some time and I was thrilled to learn that the price An all inclusive package is hard to come by especially when they throw in garden lights and japanese lanterns into the mixture of decor choices. The pre-party champagne and champagne toast were also included in our package and the andes mint departure made me and my grandmother swoon.

The 7th floor bar had a classic downtown STL look with a dark wood that contrasted beautifully with the light wood floors and tall glass windows.

I love wood flooring and the moment I walked into the loft style venue it took my breathe away. The lighted trees and votives in the window gave our wedding a special ambiance that made the night feel like a fairytale. I was able to coordinate and come in the afternoon before to set up the extra decor we had planned out and was even given a layout so we could really get into the planning.

Our coordinator switched a few times but actually it is true what they say it will all work it out in the end because when I called to see what was up Emily reassured me that it would all be okay and she immediately updated me on the ongoings of who would be our coordinator. This brings me to Melissa! Oh what a lovely surprise to work with such a patient, organized, compassionate human being! She answered all of my families zany questions, dealt with some tense moments between me and my mom, and she pulled out a protractor during the table layout planning meeting!

This woman knows how to plan and she was gracious enough to make so many revisions to our proposal and email the updated one back the same day or the very next day. It turns out they were replaced with someone else, and we found out because we emailed them and an email came back s This was fine, as turnover is bound to happen at any company. This same situation then happened once more less than a month before the wedding reception. Easily the worst mistake made by Windows, however, was when they contacted us 4 months before our wedding day and told us that they double booked our reservation for our wedding reception.

They asked us to reschedule our wedding day and gave us dates that they had available. Seeing as we had already booked all other vendors for that day ceremony, officiant, photographer, DJ, flowers, lodging, transportation, catering, etc.

In addition, they stated they were not willing to pay for the inconvenience to reschedule different vendors for a different reception date. We immediately began scrambling to find another venue because it would have been incredibly ignorant to lose all of our vendor deposits and pay for all new vendors because of an error on WoW's part.

Two days later after the original call, they said they would actually honor our contract they signed with us, without explanation. Honestly, this kind of practice is entirely unprofessional and completely inexcusable. Aside from the lack of communication due to changing our coordinator 3 times and trying to leave us without a venue on very short notice, the reception itself was excellent. The food came out in a timely fashion and was hot and delicious.

They worked well with our vendors and everything went smoothly that night. We have only praise for the experience itself. We do not know if we would recommend WoW to a friend or not. Poor business practices for months leading up to the event severely mar an otherwise flawless night.

Maybe going forward, add your own addendum to the contract to ensure you are not without compensation when they try to reschedule your reception with very little notice.
