Xbox games vs ps3 games 2011

I don't know that I would say it 'shocks' me people are getting the game on the - not everyone has a choice of both systems at their disposal.

Most of my online friends own a but not a PS3, which makes it tough for me sometimes when I try to pick which system I'll be getting it for since on the PS3 my kids play online for free and is where most of my friends play. While I don't have a , I purchased a wired controller a few months ago for general PC gaming purposes.

Actually I probably should have gone with the Hori EX2 Turbo gamepad which is reported to have a great dpad. At first though the dpad was 'good enough', but kind of mushy and I don't like how the entire platform circle rocks back and forth.

Capcom 3 was 2, in the "Top 10" they listed for software sales in February. As is usual now with NPD data though, they didn't provided a breakdown of the sales numbers between the console versions. He had an account, and his brother my other brother-in-law had his own account, so they could play Black Ops online on separate accounts. Anonymous from March 5, AM: As others stated, I have heard the same thing about the PS3 d-pad being better than the 's d-pad for fighting games.

Anonymous from March 5, PM: Yea, I'm a cheapskate, and I have issues buying games, much less another controller for an improved d-pad. Chalgyr: " I tend to use my analog stick the vast majority of the time I'm guessing the really hardcore fans probably buy the fight-sticks, which makes me wonder how the analog stick controls compared to them. Charlie Chang: I remember you mentioned the "online lag tactics" when you purchased Tatsunoko vs.

Capcom also. Being that you haven't played Tatsunoko vs. Capcom in more than a year now, can you recall if the "lag tactics" were more noticeable in that game? I used the analog sticks and not the d-pad, which I admit is poor Robert: I'm glad you listed all of the gamepads, because I always find the feedback from other users really helpful when trying to make a decision on different products.

I don't really game on my PC anymore, but I wonder if I had a gamepad for it, if I would be more likely to sit across the room and attempt to play on it more.

I played the WiiWare demo, and thought it was a very interesting concept. Hopefully the conversations here may help a multi-console owner decide which version of the game to purchase if they stumble upon the article while researching.

Although my main hangup is using a controller for FPS's. Overall I like the game and think it's an interesting mechanic to explore. I haven't made it too far yet, but plan to get back to it. So far I like using a controller as it seems more natural which helps me rotate the screen correctly more often. As for Steam and games on it, I should probably go set me an account up To me, the analog sticks between ps3 and are pretty even.

The D-pad is better on the I actually like the fit and feel of the controller overall better - I have big hands and it just feels a bit better in my hands than the ps3 one does. Only downside is my kids' offline cpu can't use it requires xp sp 2 or greater to use generic Windows drivers, and that machine's offline and sp1 so they can't use it on their machine - but it works well on my Win7 machine. I am hit and miss on control schemes.

As for Steam - Just discovered that myself this year when my wife got my cpu for christmas. Great topic by the way - lot of really good responses over here. So far in our PS3 vs Xbox series we have looked at the music, video playback and the digital download capabilities for both consoles, comparing them and talking about what they could learn from each other.

Today and to wrap up the series, we are going to talk about something which really defines both consoles, their games. There is no doubt that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox have some fantastic exclusive games between them, which can really make up a users mind when deciding which console to own. Sony meanwhile have a wealth of amazing games on the horizon such as The Last Guardian, Grand Turismo 5, the obvious releases of Killzone 3 and Resistance 3 and also Agent from Rockstar, all of which could turn out to be amazing titles.

Finally you also have to consider that other than normal exclusive games, a new generation of timed exclusives may also come into play, especially on Xbox One of my buddy picked up a couple when he got it for his , and we had fun using those. If so, that would be a good reason to consider ps3 over from a system standpoint when picking a game. For me it's just usually about the online kind of funny then, that I got the ps3 version, heh.

Charlie Change, No wonder the 's get the red ring of death all the time Exclusive Characters just ruin the game. Online is usely just millions of people using that 1 character, that shouldn't even be in the game, which eventually just ruins the experience for the real fans. When I initially played MK on the I had a heck of troublesome time.

Freaking combos wasn't connecting so fundamentally winning with kicks and punches. Personally it was simpler playing mk on the ps2 than the xbox back in the day, controls most likely factor close to restrictive character and visuals. Keep the comments clean. Rated "E" for Everyone. Saturday, May 7, PS3 vs. Filtered Thoughts: I was really, really , really surprised to see the PS3 version of Mortal Kombat consistently outrank the Xbox version in April, mainly because I thought word-of-mouth spreading about the PlayStation Network being down would hurt the PS3's version; but I think the data shows my thought was incorrect!

I also found it surprising that the PS3 version's lowest sales rank, was the Xbox 's highest sales rank during the 11 days it was available in April. The PS3 version included Kratos as a playable character, and perhaps that helped keep it ahead; but this data along with the Marvel vs. Capcom 3 data from back in March, I think shows that PS3 fans really enjoy their fighting games.

Based off the data, I think it's pretty clear that fighting games are more popular on the PS3, than they are on the Xbox I have not played the new Mortal Kombat , and it has been years since I have played the series. It seems from a lot of fan impressions and reviews though, that this Mortal Kombat is a great new game for the series. Surprisingly, Amazon. Questions: If you purchased Mortal Kombat, and you own both a PS3 and Xbox , was the PSN going down and still being down a factor in you deciding which version to purchase, if you didn't pick it up day one?

If you own Mortal Kombat on the Xbox and have been playing it online, how do you think the online runs for the game? Also, are any of you surprised the PS3 version consistently outranked the Xbox version, considering the downtime of the PSN? If you are interested in Mortal Kombat, you can see prices for both versions on Amazon. Matt Sainsbury May 7, at PM. Chalgyr May 7, at PM. Anonymous May 8, at AM.
