These games seemed to be more enjoyable and 'real' than the olympics but I can't work out why. Can't remember the last time I watched such a great sporting occasion. Oh boy. So, so pleased for England Roses and Tracey. Had a tear in my eye at the end; a result that's been so long coming - perhaps now the BBC will take more notice of Netball. At last, it takes Netballers to sing the words of the National Anthem.

Fed up with hearing about the standard of the games being lower than the Olympics obviously , Worlds also obviously , European debatable - anything else? Almost certainly higher standard than Asian and Pan American games. It is a wonderful festival of sport without it seems the usual trappings of politics and drugs. Massive congrats to all the ladies on the court from both teams for an absolute epic - and very well done to "The Roses".

Am I right in thinking that funding for badminton at the next Olympics has been removed? If so, it should be restored immediately Outstanding from our ladies, brilliant! Aus have definitely over achieved and we Eng have probably under achieved a bit. Some positives to take away though, including the Women's netball.
