Connecter wifi business livebox

They will tell you what you need to do. I'm getting a little tired of explaining this issue. Just do what I said and call your Internet provider and say this: "I have a new acer laptop and surprise, surprise, can't seem to connect wirelessly to my orange livebox with it" Similar threads H. Went for the Logicom e9. Plugs straight into live box and voila! Cheers everyone. Next job direct debit with orange france to pay for it. I suspect that one posters advice to just buy a cheapo phone which can be used either on the Livebox or directly plugged into the phone socket, may not be generally applicable". Correct and I think the majority will be in the same position as you i. The Livebox will accept any cheap ordinary phone you can buy in the shops as said in the first reply, it absolutely does NOT need to be ADSL compatible, I'm afraid that is uninformed guesswork.

I have internet so no problem there. Converted my one time landline to use as internet phone. Changed my contract. Have the telephone line the bit with plastic on the end into the livebox phone 1 , but i have no tone at all. Please help. My cheapo phone from Le Clerc only lasted a few months I suspect kids were playing with it bought another 9 euro cheapo and its all working again.

Melou The box that your Orange Livebox came in will have all the cabling necessary, and the instruction book shows you how to connect the 'phone. Simples Like. Home Buyer It's not just electricity that cuts, internet connection can be unreliable so having a phone that is independent may be a good back up.

Although what Crosbie says is correct, my personal preference would be to run the unsightly lan cable. I assume you want the "reverse" connection so that you can "stream' to your downstairs PC? I think the powerline adapters will struggle if you are streaming and you will have buffering issues.

Indeed Jodie, Ethernet cables are preferable from a quality and bandwidth perspective. Whether one will be forced to use cables depends on the bandwidth needed. If a second Powerline connection is the easiest or most economic solution then it's worth a try. One can then perform some speed tests to see if the bandwidth is unacceptably degraded at the furthest reaches than via the Livebox ADSL router.

He can connect the routers downstairs together with a patch lead, and then have a patch lead from the TP router to his desktop, the powerlines would then connect to the skybox. Relocating the TP router to adjacent the Livebox etc. As far as I can tell this needs A an aerial cable -no problem as connected to the sat dish, B phyisical connection from the decodeur to the TV - no problem as they are both adjacent to one another and C and internet connection from the Livebox to the decodeur.

C is Ok at the moment as it is connected via LAN to the adjacent other half of the extender BUT if I move and connect the TP router etc etc as suggested the signal coming into and out of the upstairs part of the extender will be the VPN one. In view of C being fairly sure that the decodeur will only work on a hard wired internet connection think that I will still have a problem in getting a LAN cable from the downstairs Livebox back up to the decodeur?

Quite like the Orange TV service which is free within our package so reluctant to dispense with this. Reading this seems far to complicated for me as said Orange box on one side of the house , netgear extender with lan for orange tv pluged into extendeder is the other side of the house everything WiFi works so only Wifi connection to netgeat extender I dont want cables all over the house so mine works fine for me including WiFi on TV upstairs.

Instead of having two different powerline connections, you can bring your VPN router next to the Livebox, and then you can create two subnets on the same network, e. Statically configured VPN clients I should add that your Orange TV box would also plug into a powerline device and access the Livebox network Recent Discussions. Orange wi fi extenders 10 Replies.
