Doom 3 demo patch for vista

Can anyone confirm that the full game works in Vista once the patch is applied? It's got to be frustrating for the people who programmed the kernal to see what is ultimately a good piece of software fucked over by layers that were added on by other groups at microsoft and OEM's making their work look far worse than it is.
